The word “aging” does not define one test. Selection begins with the degradation mechanism and required exposure.
For cracking, chalking, fading and gloss loss driven by fluorescent UV and moisture cycles. Review lamp, irradiance, panel temperature, condensation and spray.
For colour and material response requiring filtered full-spectrum light. Review irradiance point, filters, temperature, RH, spray and specimen capacity.
For moisture ingress, corrosion, insulation change and distortion under steady or cyclic climate. Review profile, heat load, airflow and workspace.
HAST uses controlled unsaturated humidity; PCT uses saturated steam. They are separate methods and must not be substituted merely because both use pressure.
