Method and cycle
Send the standard or customer procedure, revision, temperature, duration and permitted ramp or exhaust sequence.
A saturated-steam pressure cooker test chamber for accelerated moisture-resistance evaluation of electronic packages, components and materials.
+143°C and +147°C configurations, bias terminals, specimen preheating and custom fixtures are available after method review.
SATURATED STEAM PRESSURE AGING
Dexiang DX-PCT350 and DX-PCT450 pressure cooker test chambers generate a saturated-steam environment at elevated temperature and pressure for accelerated moisture-resistance evaluation. Start with the exact PCT method, load envelope, exposure condition and post-test inspection plan before selecting a model.
Send the standard or customer procedure, revision, temperature, duration and permitted ramp or exhaust sequence.
Provide dimensions, mass, quantity, orientation, packaging and fixture drawing.
Define spacing and loading so steam can reach the intended surfaces without blocking drainage.
State calibration, FAT, pressure-vessel documentation and post-test measurements.
CONTROL THE EXPOSURE
PCT uses saturated steam—approximately 100% RH—rather than independently adjustable humidity. Temperature and saturated-steam pressure are physically linked, so the agreed procedure must define the condition and pressure basis.
+110 to +132°C. +143°C and +147°C are high-temperature custom configurations, not standard claims.
Warm-up and pressurization depend on water quantity, load mass, fixture and setpoint. Confirm the guaranteed cycle in the proposal.
Automatic pressure release and cooling should follow the method. Premature opening or aggressive exhaust can damage specimens and create misleading results.
Use deionized or distilled water with the purity required by the method and operating manual. Do not use untreated tap water.
Keep drainage and steam paths open. Specify tray material, spacing, total mass and any contamination-control requirement.
Specimen preheating, bias terminals and special fixtures require method, wiring and condensation-risk review.
MATERIALS AND FAILURE MODES
Typical specimens include semiconductor packages, electronic components, encapsulants, adhesives, coatings, plated parts and sealed assemblies. The chamber applies stress; the inspection plan determines what the result means.
Evaluate moisture ingress, delamination, cracking, seal degradation or interface separation using the required downstream method.
Inspect leads, metallization, contacts and insulation resistance where moisture exposure may accelerate corrosion or leakage.
Compare molding compounds, coatings, adhesives and surface treatments under the same controlled load and cycle.
MODEL AND CONFIGURATION
The chamber drawing, fixture clearance and final technical agreement control the delivered dimensions. Do not size a cylindrical vessel from nominal volume or model name alone.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT TEST ROUTE
Select the equipment from the prescribed moisture state, pressure, bias requirement and evaluation objective.
Saturated steam at elevated temperature and pressure. Use when the method specifies pressure-cooker or unbiased autoclave exposure.
Controlled pressurized damp heat, commonly unsaturated. Electrical bias requires engineered terminals, insulation and monitoring.
Atmospheric-pressure damp heat below the boiling point, normally performed in a temperature-humidity chamber.
Designed for a different process and acceptance objective. A sterilizer label does not establish electronics-reliability test capability.
STANDARDS AND METHOD REVIEW
Equipment range alone does not prove conformity. Specimen preparation, water quality, loading, ramp, dwell, exhaust, conditioning and post-test evaluation must also follow the applicable procedure.

FAQ
It is a pressure cooker test chamber that exposes specimens to saturated steam at elevated temperature and pressure to accelerate moisture-resistance evaluation.
PCT operates in saturated steam, approximately 100% RH. Humidity is not treated as an independent adjustable setpoint as it is in an unsaturated HAST system.
Select DX-PCT350 or DX-PCT450 from the actual loaded envelope, fixture clearance, total mass and required throughput. Confirm chamber dimensions on the approved drawing.
The standard configuration is +110 to +132°C. +143°C and +147°C are high-temperature customization options subject to engineering review.
PCT uses saturated steam and is commonly unbiased. HAST commonly uses controlled unsaturated pressurized humidity; BHAST adds electrical bias. Follow the named method.
No. Bias terminals are optional and require review of voltage, current, channels, insulation, feedthroughs and monitoring. A bias option does not automatically establish BHAST conformity.
Optional preheating can help manage condensation risk during the start of a test. Its use must match the method and specimen sensitivity.
The standard route uses self-generated steam and does not require external cooling water or compressed air. Confirm any fast-pressure or special cooling option in the proposal.
Use deionized or distilled water that meets the method and operating manual. Untreated tap water can introduce contamination and deposits.
The reviewed configuration includes overtemperature, low-water/dry-heat, overpressure, door interlock, automatic and manual relief, electrical protection and emergency-stop functions. Final device settings follow the vessel documents and agreement.
No universal conversion applies. Correlation depends on the material, stress and failure mechanism, and excessive stress may produce a different failure mode.
The standard warranty is one year. Confirm installation, training, response scope and destination arrangements in the quotation.
